Join Cub Scout Pack 160 (Salem NH)
Cub scout Pack 160 primarily serves youth in grades K through 5. There are also two Scouts BSA Troops in the town of Salem for grades 6 - 12: Troop 409 and Troop 267 and one in our neighboring city of Methuen Troop 51.
Scouting is unique! It is a movement dedicated to bringing out the best in people. Cub Scouting doesn't emphasize winning as an end result, but rather the far more demanding task of doing one's best.
When Scouting can help nurture courage and kindness and allow youth to play, to laugh, to develop their imaginations, and to express their feelings, then we will have helped them grow. We want our youth to become useful and stable individuals who are aware of their own potential. Helping them to learn the value of their own worth is the greatest gift we can give them.
Have Fun! Make Friends! See New Things!
For over 80 years, Cub Scouts have been having the time of their lives making new friends and learning new things in an environment designed to help them succeed. From building their own pinewood derby car to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow with their best friends at a family camp-out, your child will LOVE being a Cub Scout. So if they are in kindergarten through fifth grade, then it's time for them to have some fun … with the Cub Scouts.
New Cub Scouts are welcome to join anytime during the year.
Returning Scouts will be sent an email when their membership is due to National/Council. Pack level dues will be collected in December 2024. For Scouts who have scoutbucks in their accounts from popcorn sales, camp card sales or maple syrup sales, they can use that to pay for their Pack dues and bring in their National/Council dues receipt to be reimbursed with any remaining scoutbucks they have in their accounts.
Pack 160 meets once a month at the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Salem NH (see map below, 171 Zion Hill Road, Salem NH) - Dens (smaller single grade-level groups) will meet additional times throughout the month at den specific locations.
